Dr. James E. Berwick, D.D.S.

Dr. James Berwick received his undergraduate degree from Oregon State University in 1974 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry on a Health Professions scholarship in 1978. Dr. Berwick joined the military where he received his training and post-doctorate degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. While in the military, Dr. Berwick received numerous awards including the Legion of Merit and recognition from the Deputy Surgeon General. Dr. Berwick was active in teaching dental residents while in the military and continues to pursue his educational interest at the University of Colorado Dental School. In 1993, Dr. Berwick, his wife and two daughters moved from Nuremburg, Germany to Colorado Springs where he was stationed at Fort Carson’s Evans Army Hospital for five years. After more than 20 years of serving in the Army, he retired and in 1998 opened a private practice in Colorado Springs, Affiliates in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Berwick is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), a member of many professional dental organizations and an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center Dental School in Denver. Dr. Berwick is credentialed at all Colorado Springs Hospitals. 

Dr. Berwick has two grown daughters, Jennifer and Erin. He enjoys spending time with his family, hunting and fishing and enjoying Colorado!

Dr. Robert C. Christiansen, D.D.S.

Dr. Christiansen grew up in the Midwest before his family settled down in San Antonio, Texas in the late 60’s. He attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated in 1981with a B.A. in political science. He then continued his undergraduate/graduate education at the University of Texas in Austin from 1981-1984. Dr. Christiansen attended Northwestern University School of Dentistry in Chicago, Illinois and graduated with honors in 1989. He completed a General Dental Residency program at Rush Hospital also in Chicago from 1989-1990. His oral surgery training was completed at Sinai Hospital of Detroit from 1990-1994. Dr. Christiansen has been in private practice since 1994; prior to moving to Colorado Springs with his family, he practiced in western Massachusetts.

Dr. Christiansen is a fellow of the AAOMS and a diplomat of the ABOMS. His outside interests are varied and include reading history of any kind, traveling, skiing, and photography. Dr. Christiansen and his wife, Karen, a general dentist, have two daughters aged 14 and 16. His brother is also a general dentist in Colorado Springs.
